It can be as simple as typing your query into google, along with the word Reddit, to see if your question has been asked before. Please do not try and sell cards or decks within this subreddit.Īll we ask is that before you post, do some research yourself to try to find the answer to your query. So, if you want to run Madcap Experiment, you either need to get protection from it, have tons of artifacts, or roll into Platinum Angel / Emperion.ģR - Put an 8/8 artifact creature into play. This subreddit is for players of any level of experience to discuss any topics regarding the Modern format, whether it is decks that pro's have been winning with, metagame discussion, card discussion, or home brews. if your opponent responds to this with a Containment Priest, you lose the game.ģR - Put a 4/4 flying artifact creature into play. In the case of the former, an 8/8 for 4 seems fine for Modern but I think it's actually pretty terrible for Legacy. Rather, it changes the results of that damage. For example, if a creature with lifelink deals damage to you, you won't lose any life, but its controller will still gain that much life. Similarly, if a creature you control with lifelink deals damage to another player, that player. 0.35 Geode Golem Commander Legends: Battle for Baldurs Gate 12.99 Forsaken Monument Zendikar Rising 14.99 Inventors Fair Kaladesh 0.25 Foundry Inspector Commander Legends 8. Out here, we use Natural Order to get far more potent creatures than Mr. Moreover, both Emperion and Angel open you up to instant-kills in response. If you're playing this in Legacy, you must be on a shoestring budget. You could just jam this in a deck with 10+ fat artifact creatures so that you never worry about killing yourself. Still, if you do that, sometimes you will kill yourself. And, why not just run Metalworker / Sol Lands? I don't see the point here. This is where i think people need to focus their efforts. If you run cards that protect you from the damage dealt by Madcap, you are now playing with Tinker (that sometimes kills you, YOLO). You’re featuring the full playset of Madcap Experiments, and your plan A is to accelerate them out as quickly as possible. You can get one of the Big Three tinker targets: Blightsteel, Inkwell Leviathan, or Sphinx of the Steel Wind, depending on the matchup. The Experiment requires you to play no artifacts in your deck other than Platinum Emperion, and the rewards for doing so are massive. For just 4 mana, you’re getting an 8/8 creature and not taking any more damage for as. Madcap Experiment + Platinum Emperion do provide a beater that is always bigger than goys (8/8 > 7/8). Your best options here are probably playable cards like Burlington Coat Factory - er, Forge Tender - or fringe playables like Energy Storm, Circle of Protection: Red, and Soulfire Grand Master. Yes it comes down later, but its not such a great problem, when your life total can't change. Magic The Gathering, magic cards, singles, decks, card lists, deck ideas, wizards of the coast, all of the cards you need at great prices are available at Cardkingdom. It also dodges a LOT of removal, from the top of my head its only hit by 3 cards that are more or less common in modern Path to Exile, Murderous Cut. I like the Master best because it does more than just hate on burn, but hey, burn hate is a fine thing to have. Verdict: Tinker is a better card than Platinum Emperion or Wurmcoil Engine. Against Louisville, Restrepo went for a career-best 193 receiving yards, including a 48-yard catch at the end of regulation. That being the continued evolution of the Van Dyke to Restrepo connection.Īt their best, the roommates are the strongest attack in Miami’s offense and showcase the potential of offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson’s air-raid offense. Regardless, questions will surround Miami’s quarterback position until next September however, it’s important to be positive about what the ‘Canes can look forward to tomorrow. He was more calculated than seen in past weeks and completed an efficient 61.5% of throws for 327 yards. Van Dyke delivered an interception-less performance, where he put up his highest quarterback rating since Week 4 at 79.1. The Tyler Van Dyke and Xavier Restrepo Connection is a Mainstay in Miami’s OffenseĪ few humbling weeks for Van Dyke, including lackluster performances and being benched for freshman Emory Williams, may have woken him up. If Miami is to elevate its play in the Cristobal era, it’s going to need more disciplined game management on the field and on the sidelines. These are crucial and preventable errors, which are just as frustrating to those watching. A few plays later, the Cardinals punted to Miami’s 40, and another personal foul was assessed, this one on Smith, moving the ball back to the 25. Cristobal elected to use a time-out with Miami at fourth-and-goal on the Louisville three-yard line which would cost the ‘Canes important seconds the rest of the way.Īfter the fourth-down incompletion in the endzone, George’s subsequent outburst got penalized, allowing 15 extra yards for Louisville, moving its possession from the three-yard line to the 18. Players weren’t the only ones making late-game blunders, with controversial time management also at fault. This was the case with Jacolby George and then Brashard Smith within the final two minutes of the fourth quarter. Late-game emotions are understandable however, reckless personal fouls with the game on the line is too costly to be reasonable. Miami accumulated five penalties for a loss of 50 yards, below their season average for penalties per game, yet the total should still be lower. It’s important to include them together because if there was anything more apparent towards the rocky end of Saturday’s brawl, it was questionable decision-making by the ‘Canes, with one mistake leading to the next. These two go hand-in-hand furthermore, they are a representation of the collective effort by both coaches and players. I just want to win, and we didn’t do that today,” Fletcher said. “The standard at Miami is to win, and I’m just a big team guy, no matter what I do individually. Most importantly, he carries a winner’s mentality, sharing his thoughts post-game. Combined with his 6-foot-2, 225-pound frame, Fletcher is a star in the making. He has terrific lateral quickness and can change direction with ease. Fletcher’s consistency versus Louisville by averaging seven yards per carry will elevate him. It was the second time in the last three games that Fletcher surpassed the 100-yard mark.įletcher’s momentous run came in the third quarter when he found a hole for a 54-yard race with three Cardinals tailing and proceeded to run in the touchdown a play later. Lauderdale, Florida native led Miami with 17 carries, two touchdowns and 126 yards on the ground. The true freshman has competed for carries on a team deep at the running back position, most notably junior Henry Parrish and sophomore Donald Chaney Jr however, Saturday was a separating point for Fletcher. Maybe the biggest upside this dual showed was that of Mark Fletcher Jr. The Continued Emergence of Freshman Mark Fletcher Jr. These will be touched on in this week’s takeaways. With Miami at 6-5, certain parts of this team’s identity are clearer than ever, some to look forward to and some to be forgotten. If the ‘Canes can compete with the elite, what will it take to be a part of them? There are obvious similarities between the losses both were by one possession, and in each, Miami had the opportunity for a game-tying or winning drive yet came up short. Over the past two weeks, Miami has found itself in wire-wire matchups with not only the top-two teams in the ACC but also two of the top 10 squads in college football. 9 Louisville Cardinals in a matchup that looked winnable throughout however, late-game blunders cost them a 38-31 loss. The ‘Canes fought hard for four quarters on Saturday against the No. There’s no doubt the Miami Hurricanes have heart. Sophomore Jades Richard tackles Louisville wide receiver Chris Bell short of the end zone during the second quarter of the 38-31 Senior Night loss At Hard Rock Stadium. Not only do they open up the map and show the player where all the activities and trinkets are, they provide a fast-travel option across the city, which cuts down on travelling time. EXPERIENCE Matthew’s goal is to put readers in the driver’s seat for a unique and entertaining look at the automotive industry – whether penning vehicle reviews with a creative bent, travelling to manufacturer events for first drives of new models, or speaking with industry stakeholders to gain extra insight for an article During the past decade, he has enjoyed creating unique and creative long-distance adventure drives, sating his (and the reader’s) appetite for driving accomplishments like traversing the spartan wilds of Labrador. As a member of AJAC, he enjoys sharing his excitement about cars and is very pleased to contribute at Driving. He is alternately described as a freelance author, podcast host, road test magnate, and legend in his own mind. Matthew Guy is a lifelong gearhead who writes automotive content for Canadian and American outlets. His failure to properly pilot a canoe, resulting in the destruction of a wharf and subsequent dunking in a fresh water lake, is best left unmentioned. As he was describing the venue, complete with cabins and Oblivion volunteers who will be dressed as Camp Counsellors, your author’s brain was deluged with flashbacks of sleeping bags and campfires. “If you grew up in Canada during the ’80s or ’90s,” Sookraj explains, “there is a solid chance you’ve some memory of being sent to a summer camp at some point or another.” The man is correct. In a fit of smart planning, Oblivion organizers have managed to secure the use of a gen-u-wine summer camp at which to hold this year’s festivities. “That’s why it can be hard to curate 160 participants,” he laughs. “Hardly anyone looked looked at a Chrysler Laser and said ‘Let’s put that away as a collectible’, not to mention rust consumed a lot of cars which were used as dailies.” It’s this combination which makes Oblivion displays such a treat. “Consumers and the automotive product they bought changed in the ’80s and ’90s,” said Sookraj. While there is certainly a place for period-correct exotica like an Acura NSX or gull-winged DeLorean - and a section of the show is devoted to cars like that - it’s the commodity-like vehicles which can sometimes gather big crowds. When was the last time you saw an original Pontiac Firefly in good shape? How about a Dodge Intrepid? Most of them were used up and recycled, leaving shows like this to bring them back from oblivion. Most of the vehicles Justin and his team choose to have on display are rigs that were common and ordinary everyday cars. It’s part of that spectre of the past which has formed the success of Oblivion and, in fact, is part of why that name was selected for the show. “There should be little-to-no proof we’re actually living in the future.” In other words, if you’re holding the keys to a 1993 Civic that’s been polluted with modern aftermarket parts which are easily identified from 2021, organizers will still think you’re cool but will politely ask you to attend the show as an enthusiastic spectator instead of an entrant. “Our goal is to transport people back to that era,” he says with a grin you can hear through the phone. “We’re looking to showcase period-correct and stock vehicles from that moment in time,” explained Justin Sookraj, founder of the show. The other peak, the A wave, is the left atrial pressure wave that follows active atrial contraction. The V waves are passive atrial filling waves and occur during ventricular systole. Flow from the pulmonary veins into the left atrium is pulsatile, and the classical pressure wave form exhibits a V wave and an A wave. Around 12–25% of the population have either the two right, or the two left pulmonary veins entering through a single ostia. Left atrial physiologyĪlthough the classical anatomy is that of four pulmonary veins, two superior and two inferior, draining separately into the left atrium (LA), this is only the case in 70% of individuals. Accurate manipulation of cardiopulmonary performance using the limited tools available demands a more in-depth understanding of LA physiology and pressure measurement. Raised LAP may be due to pre-existing left ventricular systolic and/or diastolic dysfunction, mitral and/or aortic valve pathology however, acute increases in LAP can be seen in critical illnesses such as sepsis, myocardial ischemia, stress-induced cardiomyopathies and volume overload states. Increases in LAP have important consequences for gas exchange, pulmonary haemodynamic load and right ventricular performance. However, the left atrium is a key component of the ‘transpulmonary circuit’ with upstream and downstream functions as reservoir, conduit and pump. A clinician’s interest in the left atrial pressure (LAP) usually pivots around its preload contribution to cardiac output. |
